Cozy yet Contemporary

To make this modern high-rise the ultimate weekend retreat for his New York City client, designer Benjamin Cruz pairs a clean gray-and-white color palette with streamlined, yet comfy furnishings that work whether the homeowner has just come in from the beach or is having a dinner party.

Streamlined Furniture

The L-shaped sectional maximizes seating and provides a natural divider between the living and dining areas. An oversized leather ottoman from Christian Liaigre is a comfortable place to put one's feet up and also provides extra seating for parties.

Perfect Hangout Spot

A 60-inch flat screen sits above a Jiun Ho media cabinet in bronze and charcoal gray lacquer. The cabinets brings a warm element to the contemporary space.

Elegant Dining Spot

Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a beautiful view of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Contemporary B&B Italia dining table and chairs in gray wood and white glass sit under a cool Luceplan Hope chandelier.
