About

Architect Carol Sundstrom is renowned for her portfolio of work as a historic renovation architect.  Her talent transforms vintage homes to meet today's lifestyle demands while preserving their vintage character.

In 2001, Carol founded röm architecture studio, a boutique architecture and interior design practice specializing in single family homes in the greater Seattle and Tacoma areas.  The studio works with clients who value timeless and highly functional design.  Projects range from Craftsman bungalows and Tudor mansions, to new construction with highly efficient systems and new technology.

In 2011, the firm was awarded the AIA/HUD Secretary's Award Alan J. Rothman Award for Housing Accessibility for the 'Magnolia Mid-Mod' project.  This AIA National Honor Award recognizes work that demonstrates the "importance of good housing as a necessity of life, a sanctuary for the human spirit, and a valuable national resource."
