Design expert Cynthia C. Smith is the President of CCS Interior Design Group, Inc. She earned her first degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and later realized she had a knack for design. She returned to college and earned her second BA in Interior Design from the Academy of Science and Technology. Cynthia has always been interested in owning her own business, so she decided to strike out as a design entrepreneur. Her educational background has set her apart from other designers. Cynthia understands the importance of enhancing the function and quality of her client's interior spaces for the purpose of improving their quality of life.
Cynthia's hard work, great service and design talent has won her several awards. Her design work has been featured in countless local and national publications (Crain’s Chicago Business, Chicago Home Improvement, BizNews, The Times, Today, Rosenberrry Rooms, and Inside Illinois).
Cynthia donates her services to various charities around the Chicagoland area. Her favorite charity is Make-A-Wish IL Foundation. She donates her time and skills to design spaces for children with life - threatening illnesses. Cynthia is also active in her community; she mentors upcoming design students for ASID Real World Design week and at Marian Catholic High School. She is an active member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and currently serves as Chicago Peer Group Leader, Social Media Chair and Director of Membership.
