Duchess Mansion Has Original Vault, New Fused Glass Table

Iconic Duchess Mansion, built in 1906, was built from cast-in-place concrete. The home still features the original vault along with some new elements such as a custom stone spa and a cocktail table made of fused glass. The open-plan kitchen has state-of-the-art appliances, as well as a granite-top island and beautiful cabinetry.

Duchess Mansion Exterior

The Duchess Mansion is a landmark residence built in 1906 for a leading industrialist of the time and, at one point, was the home of a European Duchess. The walls are constructed entirely of cast-in-place concrete, three feet in depth.

Duchess Mansion Vault

Some of the mansion's original features were kept and incorporated in to the home's renovation. The Vault was original to the house, along with the trestle shaped steel columns. These elements flow beautifully into the bar area.

Duchess Mansion Rooftop Deck

The home's rooftop deck and garden to take advantage of dramatic views of the Seattle skyline. The design features a custom stone spa and heated glass covered canopy with reflection ponds and gas fire-pit.

Duchess Mansion Kitchen with Open Floor Plan

This home's kitchen features an open floor plan that lets in plenty of light. The kitchen has a custom modern light fixture over the granite top island and features state of the art stainless appliances, as well as, beautiful cabinetry.

Duchess Mansion Chandeliers

Glamorous custom pendants and chandeliers create a sense of luxury and unique character. The entry staircase pickets are elegant teardrop shapes, while the use of polished nickel and fused glass is used in the dining room’s grand chandelier over the table.

Duchess Mansion Cocktail Table

The custom glass and metal cocktail table is a stunning centerpiece of the upper living room. The "fused" glass pieces are cast in 1" thick slabs and back lit with LED light, hardwired into the floor. The adjoining seating and lounge area make this space perfect for entertaining.

Duchess Mansion Powder Room

The juxtaposition of materials such as steel and marble merge yesterday with timeless modernism in this powder room. The room also features marble walls and sink, custom steel pendant and a gold leafed mirror.

Duchess Mansion Lower Stairs

This home's staircase combines both traditional and contemporary influences. The blackened steel and original concrete walls add an industrial flair to the area, while the staircase's glass and wood combination add a modern element to the space.
