Eclectic Apartment With Feminine Flair

Soft pinks and floral prints give this eclectic apartment in Sherman Oaks, Calif., a feminine twist. When matched with dramatic artwork and gilded accents, the resulting design by Jessica McClendon is equally fun and glamorous.

Balanced Living Room

Where floral curtains and an aqua sofa add feminine flair to this open-concept living area, dramatic artwork infuses the room with intrigue. The result is a balanced design, with neutral pieces that let the colorful shine.

Black and White Dining Space

To create cohesion among different chairs, designer Jessica McClendon chose pieces in similar colors. A large snapshot of a band plays off the black and white palette, while neon accents keep the space from feeling too serious.

Bar Cart and Stag's Head

A gold bar cart shines in the opposite corner of the room for effortless entertaining. With a white base and gilded antlers, the ceramic stag's head is the perfect complement.

Patterned Rocking Chair

In the bedroom, a modern rocking chair and gold end table create a chic reading corner. A large mirror, graphic pillow and faux-fur rug tie the comfortable, collected aesthetic together.

Bedroom With Blush Tones

For a romantic touch, the designer layered the blue velvet bed with blush and cream linens. White curtains, lamps and a faux-fur rug further soften the setting, encouraging rest and relaxation.

White and Lucite Workspace

Down the hall, a white buffet table and walls create a light and airy office. Here, a contemporary table and lucite chair provide room for browsing books or thumbing through fabric swatches.
