Designer Kerry Fidler transforms a master bath into a one-of-a-kind retreat with beautiful custom cabinetry and luxurious finishes.
Dressing Room Retreat
Designer Kerry Fidler added twin vanities that look like classic furniture pieces and hung Hollywood-framed mirrors to create an open dressing room vibe.
Before the Remodel
The original bathroom had a good layout but the finishes were outdated and the mirrored walls were dizzying.
Frameless glass shower doors let light pour through the updated master bath.
Kerry combined three complementary surfaces in the shower: white river granite, opalescent glass mosaic tile and a striated porcelain tile.
A simple spa shower features hand-held and standard showerheads, a niche for toiletries and a separate soap dish.
Custom Granite Backsplash
Kerry drew the silhouette for the granite tub backsplash directly onto the wall and masons cut the rock accordingly. Antique Chinese windows above the tub, refinished in turquoise, provide a pop of color.
Besides adding storage, the oyster-lacquered linen armoire feels proportionately to scale with the lofty ceilings.
Pathway to Pampering
Kerry added molding to all of the plain doors so they would have style and not be so cookie-cutter.
