Though Leslie had originally planned to cover this baseball fanatics bedroom floor in actual AstroTurf, the feel under bare foot was too scratchy for comfort. Leslie says, "Instead, we opted for cork flooring, which mimics the look of the baseline and feels warm and comfy." A rug that resembles grass adds an extra touch.
The pair of 3’-wide panels that had once been attached to the closet were replaced with Cascade Coil Drapery panels, which allotted room for the addition of a homework desk and shelves. For extra storage space, a wooden dresser was built into the closet.
