William C. Johnson Architect, LLC is a small, full service architectural design firm. Since 1985, WCJA has helped clients achieve their design goals, from small residential projects to large commercial developments.
Our residential work includes custom residences, vacation homes, renovations/additions and multi-family projects. Our designs range in styles from Classical to modern to eclectic. We have experience with Historic structures and have received the Metropolitan Historic Commission Preservation Award for Infill Construction in a Historic District.
WCJA also provides commercial, industrial and institutional design services. Our work includes office/retail structures, tenant spaces, assisted living facilities, manufacturing and storage facilities, warehouses, restaurants, clubhouses, churches and hotels.
WCJA is a member of the US Green Building Council and is a LEED for Homes Accredited Professional. We are committed to promoting green building practices. We strive to stay abreast of new developments in the construction industry but will only utilize proven quality systems.
A successful project results from the collaboration of owner, architect, consultants, and contractor. We value and encourage the talents and opinions of each team member. A thorough understanding of programming, site and environmental conditions, budget, and construction requirements is also essential. Our firm size allows the involvement of the principal architect throughout the building process.
We understand that architecture is a service industry. We strive to exceed our client's expectations and value the relationships developed over twenty-five years. We take pride in the fact that our clientele is produced primarily through a referral network of satisfied customers.
