You are looking at THE most fun-loving, the-rules-stink horticulturist in the world (it ain't bragging if it's true)! I'm a 10th-generation American gardener, very hands-on in both my highly personalized Mississippi cottage garden, and the one I tend beside a rural old farm house in England. I grow most of my culinary herbs and many of my veggies as well, and LOVE home-made yard art, especially glass bottle trees! I travel constantly coast to coast and overseas, lecturing and visiting gardens in my job as a professional garden writer (syndicated newspaper columns, host of NPR-affiliate radio program, 18 gardening books, countless magazine articles, and a garden consultant and contributor to HGTV). I also founded the international Slow gardening movement (www.SlowGardening.net). I am the proud father of a grown daughter, son (a Marine sergeant and law school student), and daughter-in-law, and I share a 250-square foot cabin with a beautiful but not-too-bright brown dog... My personal website is www.felderrushing.net.
