Designers created the exterior of this home to blend into the natural surrounding of the structure. Striations on the exterior of this home complement the strata of the Redrock Mountains, while the landscaping around the pool helps to create the feeling that the space is a part of the desert, helping the home to blend into its Nevada surroundings.
A symmetrical, low water landscape works well with the Las Vegas climate. The modern home's exterior includes an outer mesh screen around the top portion to filter the direct sunlight and keep the outdoor space a little bit cooler.
The pool house is alongside Bear’s Best golf course at the base of a mountain with views to the Las Vegas Strip. The site is split by a dramatic level change by a berm from the front to back of the site. The design fits into the berm, enabling a lower level that benefits from natural daylighting. The views culminate in a rooftop deck which offers unrestricted views to the mountains, course and valley below.
This modern Las Vegas home is split into two parts: the main house and the guest house. With the pool in front of it, the main house plays host to the living room and modern master suite, while the guest house contains the guest rooms and the home theater. These two parts of this home are separated by an elevated courtyard that serves as an outdoor living room for both portions of the home and overlooks the property, as well as the Las Vegas Valley and Las Vegas strip.
Staggered stone slabs with a gravel surround create a walkway towards the home's entrance. Green shrubs and a couple of wooden logs add a minimalist, modern touch that completes the design.
The view from the elevated courtyard of this elegant, modern Las Vegas home looks out over the Las Vegas valley and down onto the Las Vegas strip, which illuminates the sky at night.
