Contemporary Family Home With Soothing Neutral Palette

Soft grays, whites and pale blues decorate this family home by Jordan Iverson, setting a relaxed tone from room to room. To balance the airy aesthetic, the designer drew on wood floors and accents, as well as a variety of textures and patterns.

Double Doors Create Warm Welcome

Warm wood doors open into this stylish home, allowing for a seamless transition to the contemporary living room.

Living Room Features Soft Neutrals

Amidst the light colors of this living room's walls and furniture, the dark coffee table acts as an anchor to visually ground the space. An area rug underfoot softens the room.

Plush Gray Armchairs

Designers handled the unusual shape of the living room by creating two separate sitting areas: one by the fireplace and another gathered around a wall-mounted TV. Plush gray armchairs ensure comfy seating in both zones.

Chevron-Patterned Chair

The armchair's chevron stripes and pops of blue from the accent pillows add fun and color to this petite seating area. Circular coffee tables echo the curve of the room's outer wall and windows.

Media Room Includes Round Table

The white walls and paneling set off the media room's wood shelving and television. Wooden coffee tables help pull the look together, as well as provide room for essentials.

Flowing Wood Floors

To unify the large, open plan layout of this home's great room, the furniture keeps the same color scheme throughout. Hardwood floors flow between spaces for a smooth transition.

Great Room Showcases Stylish Accents

In a large space, an area rug can be just the ticket to pull pieces of furniture together. Ideally, at least the front two legs of sofas and chairs should sit on top of the rug, while stylish accents add a touch of personality.

Elegant Dining Room

A bright orange centerpiece is the perfect punctuation for this neutral-hued dining room. It gives a focal point and a shot of rich color, bringing attention to the table. Ten chairs ensure plenty of room for guests.

Modern Kitchen With Marble Island

A long, marble-topped island and a row of metallic pendants above direct the eye down into the rest of the open concept room. Hardwood floors below balance the airy aesthetic.

Rows of Windows

This gleaming kitchen keeps things interesting by using gray marble for the countertops and a pale gray tile for the walls. A row of windows over the sink keeps the space bright for meal-prep.

Soft Gray and White Backsplash

Tile in a mix of gray and white makes for a soothing backdrop for this kitchen's white cabinets and trim. They're also a pretty pairing with the room's marble countertops.

Kitchen Includes Glass Cabinet

To add an extra-light quality to a kitchen, try glass-front cabinets. In this kitchen, the cabinets' cream interior gives the look warmth and dimension, as well as provides extra storage for tableware.

Metallic Accents, Pendants

This pretty kitchen has a galley layout, but it's wide enough to keep the space from feeling cramped. Crisp white cabinets and reflective surfaces like the stainless refrigerator and pendants contribute to the room's open and bright look.

Curved, Open-Concept Design

To keep this pretty kitchen from feeling too blocky, the designer brought some gentle curves into the mix: the industrial-style pendants, faucets and arched mirror.

Transitional Laundry Room

Down the hall, gray cabinets help the laundry room walls fade into the background, making the space seem larger. Recessed lighting keeps the room bright and well-lit.

Home Office With Pop of Teal

This comfortable home office features floor-to-ceiling windows around a gently curving wall, allowing for ample natural light. A teal armchair at the desk provides a pleasant pop of color.

Soothing Neutral Master Suite

For a neutral room, graphic patterns go a long way towards livening up the space. Here, the bedding does the trick as well as the unusual pendant-style bedside lights.

Spa Bathroom With Glass Shower

A wide window and lots of glass help this pretty bathroom feel as light as air. Marble counters and mosaic tile in the shower give the space interesting dimension.

Double Vanity With Lilies

In this spa-style bathroom, gray marble countertops and chrome mirrors break up the stretch of white cabinets and add a luxe finish. Fresh lilies decorate the vanity for a touch of color.

Vanity Includes Cabinet Column

A column of cabinets with open shelving beneath serves as a practical and visually interesting divider between this bathroom's two vanities.

Walk-In Shower With Waterfall Feature

A huge waterfall shower head is the ultimate luxury to a stall shower. Glass walls surround the stall and allow for more natural light.

Gray Mosaic Tiles

This luxurious walk-in shower adds visual interest by using mosaic tiles in different shapes for the floor and backsplash. Keeping the color the same pale gray makes the look graphic, not busy.
