1930s Bungalow Gets a Reboot

Jeff Troyer rearranged the floor plan of this 1930s bungalow to give it more rooms and a better flow. The end result is a bright, open house with a craftsman feel.

Charming Home Boasts Cream Colored Stucco Exterior

Nestled amongst evergreen trees and lush green shrubs, this cream colored stucco home features a flagstone walkway and steps and a rounded square porch entrance. A new wood front door was installed to match the existing style of the home.

Remodeled Foyer With White Light Brown Sofa

Designer Jeff Troyer moved the front door from the living room to this central area, allowing the space to function as a sitting room, music room and foyer for the family. A brown L-shaped sofa is tucked into one corner of the room, while a set of three nesting tables is positioned on top of a gray area rug.

Remodeled Family Room With Rustic Stone Fireplace

This former foyer was converted into a family room by removing the exterior door and adding a rustic stone tiled fireplace. A teal sofa and throw draped over a pale yellow midcentury modern armchair add pops of color to the space, while a brown leather bench serves as a coffee table.

Neutral Midcentury Living Room With Leather Ottoman

This friendly family room was formerly the house's foyer and it went largely unused. The designers removed an exterior door, and centered the focus on the fireplace and new built-in shelves. The homeowners now spend time in this room every day.

Transitional White Kitchen With Stainless Appliances

The former dining room and pantry were combined to create this spacious white kitchen with a white subway tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances. Open shelving shows off colorful pottery and kitchen items, while a reclaimed wood kitchen island with a gray countertop provides ample space for food preparation.

Designer Jeff Troyer combined the former dining room and pantry to create a large, open kitchen with a rustic reclaimed wood island. The gray countertops, white cabinetry and white subway tile backsplash are enlivened with pops of color from a collection of vibrant kitchenware showcased on open shelving.

Rustic Kitchen Island With Built-In Wine Cooler

This rustic kitchen island features natural wood cabinetry with a built-in wine cooler and stainless steel microwave. A neutral countertop completes the look of the island, while a small sink makes it the perfect spot for food preparation.

Reclaimed Wood Kitchen Island With Swing-Out Barstools

This reclaimed wood kitchen island lends a rustic vibe to the space, which also features white diamond painted hardwood flooring. To save space, the wooden barstools were custom built to fold under the bar when not in use.

Spacious White Kitchen Pantry

This large white kitchen pantry features Shaker style cabinet doors, black hardware and three pull-out drawers. A painted white diamond design details the medium grain wood floors, while an arched doorway leads the way to a hallway and closet area.

Transitional Dining Room With Cozy White Window Seat

Designer Jeff Troyer transformed this former kitchen into a casual dining area for the entire family and included a rectangular dining table paired with soft gray chairs in his design. An expansive wall hanging with multicolored tiles adorns the wall, while a window seat with storage drawers provides a casual space for relaxing.

Master Bedroom With Charcoal and Pink Floral Wallpaper

This master bedroom pairs soft hues with edgy charcoal grays, showcased beautifully in the floral accent wall. The backing of the white bookshelf is painted a contrasting blue-gray hue, and a window is covered with a ruched gray curtain.

Remodeled Master Bedroom Fireplace With Green Tiles

Designer Jeff Troyer gave this pre-fab fireplace a makeover by adding a new oak mantle and craftsman-inspired green tile. The changes spruce up the look of the fireplace while keeping it cohesive with the overall look of the home.

Convenient Side Entrance With Stone Walkway

Designer Jeff Troyer added a new entrance to the side of the stucco home. Flagstone in various neutral tones covers the stairs and walkway, while a teak gate encloses the area.
