Designers wanted to create a functional, inviting and timeless kitchen for the homeowners to replace their home's original, outdated kitchen. To update the space, designers removed walls, opening the space up. They also replaced the space's dark color palette with this bright one.
Designers had a custom-built, Stikwood barn door installed at the entrance of the kitchen to bring a bit of pizzaz to the space between the garage, laundry room and kitchen.
To give the family a casual eating area, designers had a large kitchen island installed in the center of the space. The addition of this element in the kitchen adds seating and functional counter space and storage space for the family.
The homeowners loved the idea of having a butcher block countertop, so designers added one section of butcher block on the side of the stove. This section gives the space a bit of warmth that complements the brass drawer pulls and door knobs on the cabinets.
Throughout the space, elegant windows let in plenty of natural light which highlights the clean lines of this kitchen's new design.
