Host of Vacation House for Free, Matt Blashaw, designed this bedroom with the beach in mind. The coastal design is carried out through the natural, beachy colors he uses, such as the aqua blue of the ocean and the coral of the reef. He then used natural materials, such as the wood framing around the windows and the wood end tables to bring the outside in even more. The finishing touch is the picture of the sand piper above the bed.
As seen on HGTV's Vacation House for Free, Matt and his team created a relaxing oasis for these homeowners with a back deck that overlooks the marsh and the lake beyond it. The succulents and other plants in the large planters help to add the feeling of a luxury escape.
