Contemporary Touches in a Traditional Master Bedroom
As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, Jillian Harris' overall design for Joyce and Steven was a mix of both their desires. Joyce wanted a timeless design that would stand the test of time and Steven wanted it to be contemporary. Here, the master bedroom, painted Porpoise color, with a Starburst mirror on the wall combines timeless class with a more contemporary piece of art. The headboard was made from an old door found in Joyce and Steven's garage.
As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, designer Jillian Harris decided to make a contemporary mudroom for the family. The homeowners needed a space where the family could come in from enjoying their time in the pool and leave their wet things. The mint green and cream striped walls give the space a beach feel, while the bright red "pool" lettering gives the space a touch of modern flair.

The removal of the wall that separates the kitchen and the living room creates a more open space for dinners and entertaining. The new white kitchen has new non-slip tiles (for the aging dogs), new cabinets, appliances, and lighting, as well as in-floor heating (for the dogs). The kitchen is also surrounded by built in pocket dog doors which allows the homeowners to contain the dogs in a comfortable environment while they are away. As seen on HGTV's hit show Love It or List It Too.
As seen on Love It Or List It, Too the room was previously open on the garden facing wall, but had a shoebox for a kitchen and an underused bathroom. Jillian's solution was to blow out the bathroom entirely and insert a 30ft steel beam to support the already vaulted ceiling. With an extra 10 inches of space found in the renovation Jillian's team added a coffered ceiling to delineate the space adding intimacy and definition. The grid prints are of traditional Italian hunting scenes often found in family homes of Italian expats and are a nod to the grid design of the ceiling. A custom sectional was designed so that the homeowners could entertain many guests and take in a football game or two. The wrought iron wall hanging is actually from Egypt, but Jillian felt it gave a country feeling to the home. The components console is custom made. New french doors have been added to the patin entrance and a new gas insert sits on the far wall made of Venetian plaster and box posts, designed to draw the eye upwards into the grand vaulted space.
As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, this family room is bright and inviting. With a large sofa and brightly colored bean bags, there is plenty of seating, while the built in cabinets add lots of storage for the family. The yellow accents in the space help to make it bright, while the natural wood coffee table and gray of the sofa warm up the space, making it inviting.
As seen on Love It or List It, Too, once a family room with dark wood paneled walls, this new laundry room fulfilled Kelly's request for a proper laundry room with storage. Her previous closet laundry room off the kitchen was too small for modern appliances and did not have space for folding or storage. The foxglove wallpaper was part of the Scandinavian feel of the overall renovation design.
As seen on Love It Or List It, Too, the old piano room was never used so it became the family room with coffered ceilings adjacent to the newly installed fireplace. Jillian brought in a custom made sectional sofa, a wrought iron wall hanging from Egypt and traditional Italian hunting prints to give the family the Tuscan inspired feel they were looking for.

The paint color in the dining and kitchen area is Behr 'Creme de la Creme.' The trim is painted 'Popped Corn.' The color in the living room and hall is 'Salt Glaze.' Jillian pulled her design together with the glass chandelier that helps to add a traditional touch to the space.
Exposed Beams and French Doors in Eclectic Living Room
As seen on Love It or List It, Too, Emily and Gary's family room was stripped to the bone, which gave designer Jillian Harris the opportunity to create an amazing space. As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It Too, this basement guest room was unfinished, it had a leak issue coming up through the floor, a strong mildew smell, and was cluttered with storage items and ironing board. Needless to say, all is new in this room; finished walls, the carpet, lighting and furniture. The window ledge was also leveled and the closet was moved. Now, the space is light, bright and functional.
